Licensure Related Matters and COVID-19

As the member organization for psychology boards, ASPPB has been contacted by numerous individuals, universities, organizations, etc. about issues surrounding licensure during this pandemic. In response to those inquiries, ASPPB has polled its members, the psychology licensing boards. One poll focuses on whether a state of emergency has been declared and whether interjurisdictional telepsychological practice would be allowed and whether any temporary practice provisions exist. The second poll addresses meeting continuing education requirements.

As a result of the polling, ASPPB is providing summaries of the data gathered. We will continue to update this data as more information is received.

ASPPB understands the importance of ensuring continuity of mental health care and we hope this information is helpful. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as we have them.

Please Note: All information contained in this summary was collected directly from our membership of psychology licensing boards and is subject to change at any time. For the most current information, please contact the licensing boards directly.
