Our Commitment to Social Justice

The United States is once again confronting issues related to racism in our society. The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB) acknowledges the pain and trauma that can accompany current events, especially for our members, volunteers, and stakeholders of color, and particularly those who identify as being Black or of African descent. We affirm our commitment to you and to the pursuit of more socially just, anti-racist practices.

ASPPB values diversity and strives to reflect all stakeholders. We are committed to building a culture of understanding and support. We recognize that we still have a lot to learn. At ASPPB, we are devoted to promoting regulatory practices that support member jurisdictions in fulfilling their responsibility of public protection. We will continue spending time, as an organization, reflecting on our practices in an effort to ensure and promote equity in activities internal and external to ASPPB. We take this responsibility seriously with a strong commitment to stand up against racism and injustice.

Respectfully,
The Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards
