The following links are intended to aid ASPPB member licensing boards who may be interested or involved in writing regulations regarding prescriptive authority. The links include the 2001 ASPPB Guidlelines for Prescriptive Authority monograph text, which will be revised in the near future to update the literature review, but most of its suggestions for topics to be considered are still relevant and current. Also listed are statutes and regulations for the U.S. jurisdictions that have passed prescriptive authority.
Additional resources include the American Psychological Association (APA) recommended psychopharmacology training program and APA Psychopharmacology Examination for Psychologists (PEP) taken from the APA Practice Organization website (www.apapractice.org). as well as the Professional Exam Service (PES) report on the PEP performance by training program. Finally, there is information on the ASPPB/National Register program designation system.
